Ninh Binh is one of northern Vietnam's most rewarding day trips — and one we at BME Travel have been running for years. The province sits just 90 km south of Hanoi, yet it feels worlds apart: a dramatic landscape of limestone karsts, ancient dynastic temples, and flooded rice paddies that many of our guests tell us surpassed Ha Long Bay.
On this full-day tour, you'll visit Hoa Lu — Vietnam's 10th-century ancient capital — before drifting through the river caves of Tam Coc by traditional sampan. The day ends with the climb up Mua Cave's 500 stone steps, rewarding you with one of the most photographed panoramas in northern Vietnam. In between, a quiet cycling ride through local villages gives you a ground-level feel for daily life in the countryside. One day, and you come back understanding why so many guests rank Ninh Binh as a trip highlight.

~07:30 — Hotel pick-up in Hanoi; drive south to Ninh Binh Province (~2–2.5 hours)
~10:00 — Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital; explore the Dinh and Le dynasty temples
