“
Cuc Phuong is where I take guests who want to see the side of Ninh Binh the postcards miss. The forest is genuinely old, the air smells of it, and standing under that thousand-year-old fig never gets less humbling. Come with curiosity and decent shoes — the primates at the Rescue Centre are the highlight, and I'll make sure you understand the conservation work behind every enclosure. — Nông Văn Hải
”

Frequently asked questions about this trip

Lightweight long sleeves and trousers are recommended for jungle trekking. Sturdy closed-toe shoes or hiking sandals are essential. Bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and a small daypack.
Moderate fitness. Expect uneven terrain and some uphill sections, but no technical climbing. You should be comfortable walking 1–2 hours on forest trails.
We deliberately keep this tour small to minimise impact on the park and give every guest proper access to the guide. Because of the limited numbers, booking in advance is strongly recommended.
The cave visit is optional and depends on the group's pace and energy on the day. Your guide makes the call in the field β€” it's always worth attempting if time allows.
Cuc Phuong is one of the best places in Vietnam to photograph rare primates up close. A telephoto lens is helpful but not essential β€” the Rescue Centre allows reasonably close observation. Please note that flash photography is not permitted at the Centre.
No feeding animals, no flash photography at the Rescue Centre, and stay on marked trails during the trek. These rules protect the animals and keep the park healthy for future visitors.
Everything for the day: hotel pick-up and drop-off in an air-conditioned vehicle, your English-speaking guide, all entrance fees (park, Rescue Centre and Nho Quan), the guided centre visit, the jungle trek, the cave visit when conditions allow, lunch at a local restaurant, and drinking water. Extra food and drinks, tips and personal expenses are not included.
