Why We Started School in Paradise
In the mountains of northern Vietnam, children walk for hours to reach crumbling schools with no electricity, running water, or proper supplies. Some villages have no schools at all. We saw this firsthand while leading tours through these beautiful but impoverished regions.
In 2015, we decided to do something about it. School in Paradise started with a single classroom in Sapa. Today, we've expanded to 15 schools across Vietnam's most remote provinces, providing education, clean water, and hope to thousands of children.
Every trip you book with Banh Mi Travel contributes to this mission. A percentage of every booking goes directly to our projects, and many travelers choose to visit our schools and see the impact firsthand.

Sapa, Lao Cai Province
Linh's Story
Linh walked 10km each day to reach her crumbling village school. When we built a new classroom closer to her village, she could spend less time walking and more time learning. Today, she's studying to become a teacher herself.
Mekong Delta
The Floating Classroom
In the flood-prone Mekong Delta, traditional schools become inaccessible during monsoon season. We helped build a floating classroom that stays accessible year-round, ensuring 120 children never miss a day of school.
Ha Giang Province
Clean Water for Ha Giang
The remote village of Lung Cu had no clean water source - villagers walked hours to collect water that often made them sick. Our water filtration project now provides clean water to 300+ families.
